Fullerton Auto Square & Cypress Motors SCAMS & SHADY BUSINESS

FULLERTON AUTO SQAURE & CYPRESS MOTORS ARE THE SAME PEOPLE

Fullerton Auto Square and Cypress motors love to manipulate there reviews on Yelp with bogus "5 star reviews" even though 90 percent of the reviews are 1-2 stars max. We decided to create a page to expose these crooks for what they are. Customers are encouraged to post real reviews on this page to help others from being scammed from these two dealerships.

DO NOT buy into the lame rhetoric these "salesman" here tell you. They don't care about you. They only care about the money they take from you. They prey on people with poor credit and high financing to screw you over. You will get screwed on the back end of a loan dealing with these guys. There cars are junk with problems. Missing parts, parts removed and replaced with crap. Scratches, missing knobs, engine problems and mechanical issues. There "warranty" is a load of complete crap. Fabricated to make you feel "comfortable" about buying from them. Do NOT buy into it whatsoever.
Save your time and money and go to somewhere else.

"Hi, my name is Jenny and these guys tried to sell me this beautiful truck that I had been eying for 3 months. I bought it last Friday, noticed on Sunday that the tire was rubbing the inside of the wheel well and had it inspected. Major damage from a collision not disclosed on the Carfax but there's a reason for that - the carfax report they gave me is not for the truck I bought. The VIN on the truck I got does not come up in the California DMV records - I had a Carmax representative check. I wanna start an investigation on these idiots.  I fortunately was able to cancel the check for my down payment and didn't buy into their pleas to let them find me another, better Chevy Avalanche (at auction of course).  I am even thinking of contacting an investigative reporter (TV news or OC Register) to sting these guys. This aint no joke - it's for real and they made me so mad about lying.  So, I am going to report them but the more people who jump in the better. Let me know if you are interested in filling me in on the other details."

"They also screw you on financing. I was approved at about 12 percent interest. The list price of the car I got was 23k. Come to find out after looking closely, they screwed me on the back end. The term was for 48 months. I calculated my 12 percent interest times 48 months. Came out to about $4,100. Well...... They had the total amount at $8,600. THAT MEANS they tacked on $4,500 on top of the original price of $23,000 for the car. Thus meaning I would of paid $27,500 for an agreed price of 23k. They are scum. Told them to shove the vehicle up their asses."                                                    (February 2013)

"I can finally write a personal opinion for Fullerton Auto Square based on our past experience now that they show up on Yelp (I searched them up on a whim while writing reviews on car dealerships on a roll)! First of all, this dealership specializes in cars acquired from auto auctions or lease/fleet turn-ins and their target market/demographic are buyers with poor, zero or burgeoning credit history.  My GF bought two cars from here: a 1st gen Toyota Matrix back in 2009, which she subsequently totaled and then a 2004 Nissan 350Z in February of 2010. Both time we dealt with Chris. On the first used car buying experience alone, I would've given this place a 5-star rating. We returned to Chris and Fullerton Auto Square because we thought Chris had our back and we're pretty damn loyal when it comes to good service (good reviews, referrals, etc. the whole 9 yard), but screw with us or insult our intelligence and we'll make sure our experience is heard loud and clear.

On the second experience, when we took the Z home, we notice that the rear hatch gas-lift were blown (our fault for not thoroughly inspecting). At the same time, we were sold the Z without the keyless entry fob, just the key but Chris promised he would order one for us. So we contacted Chris to follow-up on his promise and told him about the blown gas-lift for the hatch. He said he'll order a pair along with the key fob. Suffice to say, after chasing Chris and playing phone tags with him for 1.5 weeks, we gave up and bought the gas-lifts and key fob off of eBay and I programmed the fob myself base on free instructions on the internet and installed the gas-lifts onto the Z. (This event also lead to the bad review I wrote for Glendale Nissan).

When we called in one last time to follow up on his promise, Chris said he forgot and that he's entering the order as he speaks. At this point, my GF told him not to bother cuz we already got the parts ourselves. He then has the audacity to tell us to fax over the receipt so he can credit us. Right.

This occurred back in 2010 but now that they're on Yelp, I am sharing our experience and my opinions.  We never forget bad service and/or false promises Chris. If you go here, avoid Chris and tell him about this writeup. He has a green JDM badge suctioned onto his office window.

PS - just because the Carfax shows no accident on the used car you're about to buy from this dealership doesn't mean it hasn't been in an unreported accident. The 2004 350Z that my lady purchased was involved in some unreported serious accident that didn't show up on the Carfax report. How serious? Well, the AC condenser  was bust and cost $400 to replace. Driver side headlight rusted beyond recognition and shorted the HID ballast, etc. Total cost invested in fixing the Z? Over $1500, only to trade it in 2 years later due to the headache it was giving us. My point is don't rely solely on Carfax whenever you buy a used vehicle.

PPS - 3/26/13, it appears that Fullerton Auto Square (FAS) asked Yelp to have my photos (4) removed because they apparently reflect "my personal experience" rather than "broadly represent FAS as a business". Guess what? Your car, your product and my photos in conjunction with other negative reviews are a clear representation of the condition of the cars you sell - straight up auctioned cars with a little detail work. We're not buying a $7.00 bowl of ramen, we're buying a  $10,000+ vehicle with potential sunk costs in repair work that you fail to disclose or deliberately deceive. Rather than suck it up and learn how they can improve their operation base on user generated opinions, FAS rather invest time and effort to conceal the truth and suppress evidence supporting their shortcomings. That alone should tell you how this dealership operates.

Why the sudden outreach to folks who have written bad reviews? Low sales these days because of the bad rep? How do you intend to "resolve" a bad experience that occurred 3 years ago? Crediting us all the parts and repair bills would be a start, but that's not going to happen is it? It doesn't help your cause one bit by having Yelp remove photographic evidence of the shoddy cars you sell. I'm removing the extra star from the rating for this. You'd figured they would change after 3 years, but it's obvious nothing has changed.

The pics that were removed were photo of the 350Z (at an AutoZone, buying some replacement 168 wedge bulbs for the taillights that were burned out, which we failed to inspect), photo of the receipt to repair the AC condenser damaged from an unreported accident ($400) and headlights that were rusted beyond repair vs. new replacement headlights. Message me if you want to see pics of my "personal experience". Wouldn't put it past FAS if they paid "reputation management" companies to write fake positive reviews. They're lucky I haven't placed them on blast on my blog.

Also, avoid Cypress Motors in Cypress next town down. They're are the same company."
